I managed to go out and do slightly more stuff this week than usual, which was extremely nice! As well as generally doing more stuff than just being on the internet.

Of course, I have to mention what's probably the highlight of the week, though it was just yesterday, which is the Coffee video I made in under an hour! I am still extremely proud of it, and I've even done something I rarely do and directly shared it to some friends, I am that proud of it.

On a similar note, I actually got this a while ago, but I got a Blu-Ray set of the Cornetto Trilogy (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World's End), which are some of my favourite movies ever, and I've been going through all their extras! This also motivated me on Sunday to hang out with some friends and show them Shaun of the Dead, and they fortunately really enjoyed it, and they're interested in seeing the other two movies soon! That made me very happy.

I guess I've written a lot for this intro already, so I'll quickly talk about what games I've been playing now, as there isn't a lot, and then share the cool videos I've watched.

I've only really played more Capitals and Geometry Dash this week. Specifically, out of nowhere I started practicing the original version of Cataclysm, and I kinda wanna beat it now? It's about as hard a level can get before it stops being fun for me, and I've already gotten to 40%, plus it's relatively short, so maybe I'll keep going‽

Now onto the stuff I've watched!

For some quick usual Usuals, I really loved both Yahtzee's Fully Ramblomatic on Mixtape, which actually ended up being a bit of a stealth review, and his Semi Ramblomatic episode on what separated James Bond in 007 First Light from other snarky protagonists he finds annoying. Also Archenlander made an amazing video about how Valve games are selective with what they make realistic, which is something I've noticed and I think plays large part into what I like about their games, so I'm glad to see an actual video about it! Also it reminded me of my first true post here.

Also from Second Wind, I loved Jenna's new Game Arcadia episode on The Tester, a reality showed which Sony made for the exclusive PlayStation Network, which I actually didn't know about before watching the video. It goes into why it was such a disaster and why it essentially served as propaganda about the "gamer dream". I really enjoyed it, maybe in part since I've been in a bit of a reality show rabbit-hole for the past 2 years, but I really like Jenna's commentary style, and the editing was fantastic! Also glad I clocked that it was Arin Hanson in the thumbnail.

The most recent episode of Dropout's Game Changer, called Night Shift, is a contender for my new favourite episode ever. I've always loved the episodes where they actually have to figure the whole thing out, and half of this episode was literally that, while having silly chaotic moments all throughout. I've genuinely considered just writing an entire review of this episode, but I'll wait until next week after the behind the scenes video releases. I highly suggest watching the episode, and if you don't have access to Dropout, at least watch some of the clips they've released.

Jay Foreman and Mark Cooper-Jones, The Map Men, who apparently have named their channel just that now (despite still being @JayForeman), released a fantastic video comparing the voyages of Ferdinand Magellan and Francis Drake, the first two people to circumnavigate the world*. It was an amazing video as usual, I loved how they made it a competition about which voyage went worse, and it featured some really cool graphics by Dave Brain!

This isn't exactly a specific video, but while practicing cubing I've been listening to some videos by LuvstarKei. They mostly do Minecraft stuff, and I have fully watched some of their Let's Play videos, but a lot of their videos are also just commentary about real stuff that I can listen to while doing something else I enjoy myself, cubing in this case! I think both their Minecraft videos and the ones on other topics are really worth checking out. Plus, I think anyone who also has their own website (especially one so beautifully stylized) warrants a shout-out!

And that's about it! I maybe don't have as much to share as previous updates, but the stuff I've had to share is stuff that I've really enjoyed over the past few days, and I hope you do too! Also I'm definitely getting into a better rhythm of writing again, slowly but surely.
