My Original Geometry Dash Levels

A screenshot from my first Geometry Dash level ever, Watch Out.

I didn't really say so at the time, but after writing my previous post about having played Geometry Dash for a decade, I felt like I was missing something, or just that I could do something more to celebrate the occasion. After thinking about it more, I decided that a good thing I could do is to talk about my original levels!

I've had four Geometry Dash accounts across my time playing the game, but fortunately, a lot of the levels I uploaded on my first account, thetreeisgreen, are still around, including the first level I ever ever made. This is nice! Even though it's not all I did, I still did lose all the levels I didn't upload, but compared to some other games I lost all my early stuff from, this is alright.

Anyways, here's the video! The IDs to play each level are also in the video if you really want to. They might not be strictly good, but I still treasure all of these.

In the video I have a small entry about each of the 14 levels, providing some context and behind the scenes info. They're quite brief, but I think they give enough! There isn't a lot I can add to this post, except for some behind the scenes information about making the video itself.

Two* of the levels in the video no longer have their songs on Newgrounds. One is debatable, but it's the song I used for Trayurus Level, which was the Street Fighter Dubstep Remix by Antoine Lavenant, which is probably best known for being the original intro music for DanTDM (I'm sure I would've used Press Start if I could've, but that isn't on Newgrounds). The song was reuploaded onto Newgrounds by someone else, and later the song was changed and renamed to Get Pranked, though it still shows up under the old title in GD. Fortunately the original audio file is archived in the Wayback Machine, so it's easily recoverable!

The other song, meanwhile, might as well have been lost media if it weren't for the fact I still have it downloaded on my iPad. This track was Minecraft Theme Remix by Pinx-G, and they've since removed all their stuff from Newgrounds. The page for the track is saved in the Wayback Machine, but not the audio file itself, and I couldn't find it anywhere else. Fortunately, I was able to dredge it out of my iPad using iMazing, and I do plan on reuploading it to YouTube or some other site soon for easier access, but for now I've uploaded it onto Google Drive to keep it safe for now. I'm really glad this won't be lost for good. I could also try to find other tracks I could dredge back from the dead.

Lastly, I also want to bring up that although my only public Minecraft-inspired Geometry Dash level is Trayurus Level (plus Trayurus Level 2 technically), based on Level 1 of Mine Dash by Vilder50, I did try to recreate the levels from another GD Minecraft mod by Fahrenheit. I thought DanTDM had played it, but it appears not, so it might be from Logdotzip or AntVemon instead. Regardless, the original versions of those are gone, but I could definitely try to recreate them someday! I'd also love to recreate The Prison by TheRealPhoenix properly, though that will definitely be much more work.

Anyways, I hope you found all of this interesting! And even then, I'm just happy to finally properly talk about these levels, as they were and still are very important to me, both emotionally and to show off my creative journey and progress!
