Earth To Karl – EyeSpark Weekly (November 6, 2026)
After a very active month, this first week of November has been quite chill in comparison, but maybe that's only because I've gotten used to actually doing more stuff again!
On Saturday I made some crab rangoons with my mom, which were quite fun to make and very tasty! We've made some in the past, but we haven't in a few years, and this was also the first time we folded them from the edges, which actually wasn't hard at all and gives them a fun headcrab shape. I highly suggest you try to make some yourself if you'd like, they're extremely good, and easily adjustable to whatever you prefer! I'll leave an image of how ours ended up down below.
Speaking of food, this is too silly for me not to share. I ate at Outback Steakhouse on Tuesday and I order buffalo bites, and I found a crumb that looked extremely close to Australia (without Tasmania), and I think that's way too silly not to share. I'll leave it as an extra treat at the end of this post.
Most importantly, though, also on Tuesday I accompanied my mom to a commercial production, and the set got a new adorable kitty named Negroni! She's quite small, extremely playful, but also very affectionate when she's not active! She's a very good kitty, and I made her the header image of this post, and I'll leave some more photos of her right here too, along with the rangoons: Isn't she adorable‽

Quite a good week, and that also applies to what I watched, so here is some of that!
Today is Second Wind's third anniversary! Even though I haven't shared their stuff here in a while I still constantly watch it, and this week I really enjoyed Yahtzee's review of the new Hellraiser game, which is apparently a thing that exists.
Speaking of things I still watch but haven't brought up, yesterday was the Taskmaster Series 22 finale, and I really liked it! I don't think the series is as strong as the previous four for me, but it was still very good, and this might be the best stretch of five series they've ever had. It was a great finale too, I loved the prize and live tasks especially, and I'm also super excited about the New Year Treat, that cast seems incredible. Also I've finally finished a side project with the release of this episode, which I think I'll share in a few days, so stay tuned!
There's also a few videos that came out last week that I didn't watch until this one, since I was watching so much Desert Bus. Specifically the new Scott the Woz episode on modern retro gaming, and the new Double Take video on the design flaws of all coffee cup lids, both of which are very good!
Despite me not caring about the Halloween franchise, I have been watching more horror movie videos again since it was Halloween, aside from my usual Dead Meat fix of course, and I ended up stumbling upon two very nice videos. First is a short but fun ranking video of all of Michael Myers's masks by GroovyGage, and a very interesting video about the graphic design behind the original film's poster by Paper And Light, who has actually made videos on other famous film posters, and I've watched quite a few more of them! I recommend checking them out.
Odyssey Central made a new video ranking all Waluigi tracks in Mario Kart. I've actually been thinking recently about which Mario Kart character has the best tracks, and Waluigi might be up there, but it does feel a bit cheap as he has only had two original tracks, which is very low compared to other characters.
David Marquette has previously made very good videos about Dropout, specifically the Game Changer ARG and the Play It By Ear show, and this week he made a video about Total Forgiveness, a show so bold and uncomfortable that I can't finish it, but I find it super interesting, and I like seeing it be discussed more!
Last for the videos, here is a short behind the scenes look at the backgrounds of LRR's Star Trek PPR, which I find super cool, but I'm also in part bringing up since I've been really wanting to get back into Magic again, and I'll try to this next week.
Lastly, here's some art I found! Two pieces once again, which seems to be the standard for me now. First is this cool drawing of Heather and Alessa from Silent Hill by milk.and.spookies, which might be unfinished but I think it looks fantastic; and second is this piece of Portal fanart by forestfox, which is also great! I love seeing overgrown Aperture.
And that's it! Now to sign off, as promised, here is the Australian crumb in the vaguely Australian restaurant:

Have an awesome week!
