EyeSpark Weekly – April 24, 2026
At this point I might just stop saying "it's been a hectic week" in these posts, as it's now rarer that a week isn't in some way hectic for me. But anyways, here's some cool stuff!
Videos
- I'm a big fan of Epic Rap Battles of History, and I watched JowensYT's video on missable details in the Napoleon vs Napoleon battle. In the series he shares small details, fun facts, and sometimes even cut stuff from their battles in chronological order, and this is one of my favourites from Season 1 so I was really looking forward to it!
- Speaking of things I've been looking forward to, No Rolls Barred have finally started Season 4 of Board Game League, and for the first episode they played Cheese Thief. This season features Jay Foreman and Ify Nwadiwe, who I never would've expected to see together, but I'm a massive fan of both of them and they fit in perfectly with the NRB cast! I'm definitely excited to see what else the season has in store.
- I really enjoyed this week's Fully Ramblomatic, which was a new installment of Fully Ramblomatic's Occasional Guide to Notorious Moments in Gaming History. Specifically this one is about how litigious Nintendo was when they first entered the North American market and Atari's failed attempts to combat them. These are amongst some of my favourite videos from Yahtzee, so I'm always glad to get a new installment.
- I'm continuing with the Taskmaster binge, and throughout the whole week I watched Series 18 and I finished it just yesterday, and it was fantastic, probably my favourite series yet! I loved a lot of the tasks, especially the maze one, and the entire cast had such amazing chemistry.
Video Games
- I'm still playing a bit of Geometry Dash, and I've specifically been playing Valor by KrmaL, which might be my next Insane Demon if everything goes well (it's not that bad aside from the very end). As of now my best is 48%, but hopefully I'll keep getting better. Also apparently this was a few weeks ago, but I only found out now that GD has an official website and wiki now, which is very cool!
- I brought it up last time, but I've actually been playing a lot of Office Chair Curling. This game definitely warrants its own post, which I'll probably publish this week, but for now: It's been an extremely fun game with a perfectly contrasting cheeky theme. Just today an update released which fixed a lot of MacOS-specific bugs, and I was able to get the achievement for getting 1,000 points in a level!
I haven't seen as much fun stuff this week as the previous ones, but that's okay! Sometimes that's just how it goes, and maybe this is just the standard amount and the other weeks are outliers? I don't know, maybe it means I have to actively seek out more stuff, but who knows.
