The Quest To Find Misattributed Music

As I said in my latest weekly update, I've been "playing" a lot of Bit City, a game by NimbleBit (creators of Tiny Tower, Pocket Planes, Pocket Trains, and more), and so I've ended up with a lot of its music stuck in my head.

Now, I assume NimbleBit uses royalty-free music for all their games, they definitely did for the original Tiny Tower, but they don't attribute their music directly in any of their games. I guess this isn't exactly necessary, but it is a bit annoying when trying to find the source of the songs; we don't even know if some are original pieces or not.

Now, with Bit City, I did actually recognize one of the pieces directly since I started playing, as it was made by internet music legend Kevin MacLeod (specifically his track Acid Trumpet, which I remember that I recognized specifically from I Hate Everything's videos) but there were two other tracks I didn't know the origin of.

Unfortunately, as time goes on, original royalty-free music tracks become increasingly hard to find the source of, as some people reupload them without credit and end up complaining they own it, which is what's happened with the other two tracks. When I tried to identify them using certain apps and extensions they appeared with names and artists who didn't actually make them, and if it weren't for the fact that I recognized that the supposed dates were after the game's release, I would've been none the wiser, and that does happen often, it's definitely happened to me before.

Fortunately, with the help of this thread on the WatZatSong Forum, a random Russian website which had that track archived, and this Song Identifier extension actually working properly sometimes, I was able to identify the two other tracks I was missing as By The Coast (2004) by Antony Raijekov, and Deep Force by Joe Mawsi!

To hopefully help share the origins of these tracks, I reuploaded them myself on YouTube in high quality and with the correct attributions. They likely won't be viewed that much, but I'd still like for the origins of these songs to be as open as possible, to give props to the people who actually made them, as they deserve!

You can check the songs out on this playlist I made:
