EyeSpark Weekly – March 13, 2026

A collage of media I've engaged with this last week.

Today I want to try something new here! Something I thought I would do more when I originally started this blog was share the media that I enjoyed. I don't know why it's taken me this long, but I have decided to finally give it a shot.

So here are some of the things I enjoyed engaging with this week! All of which I recommend you also take a look at if you think you'd be into them.

Poker Night at the Inventory (Remastered) – Review
A week ago from today the remaster of Poker Night at the Inventory was released, finally bringing the game back from the dead after 7 years. The original game was released on November 2010 by Telltale Games, but hasn’t been available via official means since 2019 after they shut down,
  • One of my favourite online artists right now is Videl (imgdist_0000), who I first found from their "drawing people i see in the city" series. On Sunday they shared a wonderful illustration of the Eagle Nebula that they made! This drawing actually made me realize how the nebula resembles an Eagle, which is something I hadn't figured out before.

  • For the last two months I started watching Taskmaster UK, which is a show that I can't believe I didn't watch sooner, especially since I am a massive fan of British panel shows. I honestly could talk about the entire show since I love all of it, but I want to share a specific moment from an episode I watched yesterday.

In Series 12 Episode 4 there's a challenge where the two teams must solve a riddle, but the riddle itself was ciphered. I am a massive fan of ciphers, and I felt like this was one I could actually solve for myself without the rest of the task, as it seemed like a standard substitution cipher, and I did! I started with one word I found obvious, and from there the rest fell into place over the course of about 20 minutes.

To prevent spoilers I am not gonna embed an image here, so here's a Google Drive link to a photo of my notebook when I figured it out:

  • This morning carykh shared one of his unfinished flash games from 2014 called Goime 1000, which was supposed to be a much more expansive version of Goime 500. It is very much unfinished and it will stay like that forever, but I have found it extremely fun to mess around in!

Meester Tweester has already done some speedruns of the game, and I also did a silly challenge for myself where I tried to create the iRDM Wordle Pattern, because somebody had to in this community. Here is Cary's video about it, which includes the links to download it (though you do need Flash Player or some other alternative)
  • And lastly, today the finale of Battle for Dream Island Elsewhere released. I wrote about the first episode when it originally released, and I have followed it every week since, and I really enjoyed this final episode and the season as a whole! I am a massive fan of more easygoing object shows like this, and if this is a format that Jacknjellify and other people will continue experimenting with I'd be super excited to see it!

And that's about it!

I want to give a shoutout to The Enthusiast by Myke Hurley and the Studio Neat Gazette for originally inspiring this idea of a weekly update, as well as LoadingReadyRun's Good Morning Moonbase for pushing me to finally do this once and for all, as all episodes end with the guest sharing what media they've engaged with.

With the general state of things I find it more valuable than ever to appreciate the things that I enjoy. I'm really glad I decided to share these things as it has made me feel much more positive, and hopefully this can inspire some of you to share and engage more with the things you enjoy yourselves!

By the way, I am definitely gonna keep this thing going every week, however I do want some feedback. I am unsure if I want to leave images or embeds for every single thing I talk about, as I find it very nice to have the visuals, but I do understand that they can take up quite a bit of space. If any of you have any opinion on this please do share!
