Some BFDIA 5b Levels
Today is the thirteenth anniversary of Battle for Dream Island Again 5b! It was part of the monumental BFDIA 5, which was such a large episode for its time that it had to be split up into five parts and took 8 months to finish. The second part was not a standard episode however, but instead a video game!
To celebrate this occasion, I've decided to officially share some of the levels for the game that I have made over the years.
To clarify, BFDIA 5b was originally supposed to have an in-built level editor, however it never ended up being released. Worse still, the original game is no longer playable via the original website due to Flash no longer being supported.
F0r a while I played it locally on my computer by downloading the .swf and levels.txt file, but later on a port of the game to HTML5 was made by Coppersalts and with the level uploading functionality being powered by Zelo101's 5beam! This has allowed me to make levels much more easily, and now upload them, and massive props to them and all others who made this possible, for making something so cool!

The first level I am sharing is the first one I made using HTML5b's editor, and it's called Inanimate Instability. It does not have anything to do with Inanimate Insanity, I just thought it was a fitting name.
In it you play as Ruby, a character which never ended up being used in the original game. The level contains a lot of conveyor belts, which at first are all constantly switching directions to the point where they don't move you, however they do have a chance of propelling you if you jump from them. By doing so you can make your way to a switch which keeps them the right way, where you can finally complete the level. There is also a risky jump over a pit which if you make before fixing the conveyors it awards you a win token!
It is definitely luck-based, but it is quite short and aside from the win token, a pit at the start, and if you deliberately go to the spikes, there is really no way to die. I find this one very silly!

The other one I am uploading is one called Mechanical Mind, which is definitely the largest level I have made so far, and probably the one I am the most proud of.
I loved the idea of having a level where you have to complete three different bits of it to be able to finish it, with each part leading to the next one. It has a few very simple puzzles and a bit of challenging platforming, but I find them both to be pretty fun! Especially since there are very few places where you can actually die, so it is super easy to just try again.

Similar to my previously unreleased Geometry Dash and Labyrinth 2 levels, I am very happy to finally be sharing this publicly! Not just on this blog, but in the games themselves of course.
I haven't played many other HTML5b levels myself, and everything I've created is purely from my own instinct and at most takes inspiration from the base 52* levels of the game, but I still feel incredibly proud of what I've made and think it's pretty fun!
* Yes, the base game had 53 levels with the final one supposed to be impossible, and if you want to be really technical you could make that 54 levels since Level 53 was proven to be possible, but you know what I mean.
