Pocket Trains: Status Update 3

So Half-Life 3 was not announced today (womp womp) so here's the weekly Pocket Trains update I promised!

There were a few days where I didn't really play the game, so I didn't make as much progress as I probably could have, however I am very proud of what I've done this week, and I already have some interesting plans that I'm cooking up!

My map in Pocket Trains as of November 19, 2025.
Fun fact: I edited this image so it fits perfectly with the previous one. That way you can compare how much my network has grown!

Like I did last time, I'm gonna start with my general network stats.

Earlier today I reached Level 20, meaning I can now get all Freighter trains! If this were before 2019 that would mean I'd have access to every train, but they added the Hybrid set, so I'll have to wait for those too.

My network now consists of 18 lines! The only change to any existing line is that I extended the Persian Prince to end further in New Delhi, rather than Kabul.

My four new lines are:

  • South Atlantic (Dakar—Buenos Aires) with a Petabyte Zephyr
  • Mountain Express (Karachi—Shanghai) with a Metro Express
  • South Slash (Porto Alegre—Caracas) with a Terabyte Zephyr
  • And a route from Bangkok—Shenyang with a Dragonbreath, which I still haven't given a proper name, though I feel like the name of the train itself is sufficient, for now at least.
My eighteen railroads in Pocket Trains.

As for my future plans, I already have quite a few in mind. I've been trying to get some trades on the Pocket Trains Discord server and r/pockettrains, and although I haven't received any offers yet, I am hopeful I'll get some soon!

The only new train I haven't built a line with yet that I am looking forward to is the Zettabyte Zephyr, just to have a complete selection in my network! And maybe also some other lines with some more special trains

As for my already existing lines, I am planning a bit of a shake-up with what trains are going through which lines. I am still not 100% sure on what I wanna do, but my current plan is this:

  • Persian Prince (Casablanca—New Delhi): Regional Express → Rio Grande Standard
  • African Atlantic (Casablanca—Cape Town): Rio Grande Standard → Terabyte Zephyr
  • South Slash (Porto Alegre—Caracas): Terabyte Zephyr → Global Express
  • Greater Pacifica (Vancouver—Bogotá): Global Express → Zettabyte Zephyr

The main reason for this "shake-up" is that I recently noticed how much traffic I've been getting through my Persian Prince line, as it's the main line that helps me to connect from The Americas to Asia, and the Regional Express doesn't have that much capacity to handle it super well.

Because of this I plan to move my Rio Grande Standard, which at this point has become my most potent train, to that line, and shift some others of my trains accordingly!

Some of these changes are minor downgrades, like changing my Terabyte Zephyr to a Global Express, but I feel like it's ultimately worth it to keep my network moving as fluidly as possible.

As for future lines, the only one I really have in mind is one from Kolkata down to Singapore, that extends further to Kupang. From there I will hopefully finally expand to my final continent, Oceania, and see what interesting stuff I can do there! That's really the only area I am not sure what I wanna do in, so I'll have to get creative with it.

The licenses screen of the game, showing how I have 5 of 6 licenses. All of them except for Oceania.

And that's it for this update! Not that many big changes, but generally my railroad network is doing extremely well, and I am very happy of the small, but steady progress I've made!
