Getting Into Pocket Trains
One of my favourite mobile game developers of all time is a studio called NimbleBit! They created a bunch of mobile games back in the early 2010s that I really love, and they were specifically most famous for their simulator games.
To be specific, their biggest games were Tiny Tower and Pocket Planes, a tower management sim and an airline manager sim respectively, with amazing pixel art styles and simple gameplay loops that are both relaxing and very enjoyable! I adored both of these games and still really do, and I have made a bunch of progress in both for years (at this point over a decade).
However, there is one game from them from 2013 that I have kinda been neglecting all these years, that being Pocket Trains, a simulator where you can create and manage a bunch of train lines all over the world!

You start the game out in Europe, so I expanded as much as I could there, and recently I got the Asia and Africa licenses so I could spread out even more. I currently have stations reaching to the middle of Russia, the southern tip of India, and all of North Africa. After this I plan to reach The Americas, probably.
I started actively playing again on Sunday about three days ago, where I was on level 8, and I have since reached level 13! These levels gradually unlock better trains that have greater fuel capacity to travel further, and more powerful engines that are faster and can carry more carts!
I currently have seven lines, running a mix of two starter Steamer trains for shorter lines, two of the more potent special Seasonal Steamers, and three of the Express Set! Since I am now in Level 13 I am just now unlocking the Zephyr engines, which are probably my favourites in terms of design!
That's about it for what I wanna share! I have been playing this game a lot recently, more than ever, and I am extremely proud of all the progress that I have been making in it.
I've technically been playing this game since July 2014 when I first got it, with my current account probably being made in late 2021, however after a bunch of on and off periods of playing and not playing, I have decided to stay with it for as long as I can this time, and it's been a blast!
I have gotten much better at the game now, and I've seen a lot of brand new stuff that the game has in store that I have never seen before! Since I could only stay in Europe before I basically only saw hills and mountains, but now I've seen deserts in the Middle East, the wonderful tropical coasts of South Asia, and I even constructed my first underwater tunnel between Stockholm and Helsinki with a beautiful oceanic backdrop!
I intend to stay with this game for a while, so hopefully I'll share more updates as I keep progressing these next few days!
