Finally NOT Missing Halloween Events
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
There are some games that feature specific events during specific dates! One of my most played games of all time, Minecraft, has some of the most famous examples of these, usually just being minor cosmetic changes, such as the chests turning into presents for Christmas.
Halloween is one of those days. If you play Minecraft during it zombies and skeletons (and their variants) have a chance of spawning wearing pumpkins or jack o'lanterns on their head. Despite this seeming like a pure visual change, it actually makes the mobs slightly harder, since the pumpkins prevent them from burning in the sunlight like they usually do.
I must confess, however, that after all my years of playing Minecraft (eight in the Java version) I have not yet played the game during Halloween or Christmas, so I've never seen them. Until now!
Just today I logged into Minecraft and saw them! Which was very interesting, and it felt somewhat odd that this is the first time I've really seen a feature that's been in this game for so long.
I do have to give credit to one of my friends though, who notified me that another game I have, ULTRAKILL, also had a seasonal Halloween thing where all of the enemies and some items with faces also had them turned into pumpkins!

Unlike with Minecraft, this wasn't just for the actual Halloween day, but it was actually around for a few days beforehand, so I could actually see it a few days ago.
I only brought up these two games since they are the only ones I've seen that I own for myself and have played recently, however I am sure there are a lot more examples of this silly tradition in other games! And it is an absolute delight to see it myself for the very first time.
