My First Fountain Pen
For quite a few years now I've had fountain pens in the back of my mind. I really like quality stationary and so I've been really curious about them, but at the same time they also kinda scared me, since they just felt way too fancy for someone of my not-the-greatest penmanship.
In the end though, after seeing it constantly talked about by stuff surrounding me all these years, from The Pen Addicts podcast, to LoadingReadyRun, to one of my closest friends (you know who you are), I finally caved and ordered a fountain pen about 2 weeks ago!
Now — after having to wait those 2 weeks since it apparently came from Australia LMAO — it has finally arrived! I ordered a LAMY Safari with a fine nib and the umbra matte finish.
For this first day I've really just tried to get accustomed to it, I've just written some stuff regularly, practiced some fancier calligraphy, really I haven't done that much other than that, but I've done a lot of it!
Although I'll probably continue to use more standard pens most of the time, I am really glad to finally get one! And maybe if I like using it enough I might try some more special ones.
