EyeSpark Weekly – March 27, 2026
It's Friday so it's time for another weekly recap of the things I've found! This has been a much busier week than usual, but that doesn't mean I didn't have time to enjoy stuff. Also as I mentioned last time, I am changing up the format of this post a little bit to keep it tidier.
Videos
- To follow up last Sunday's video, Evan Edinger released a new video where he showed some cut and behind-the-scenes stuff of his race through London with Tom Scott and Matt Gray! It goes into some really interesting insights about how a commute through London is like.
- Monday was a very good day for the YouTube channels I watch. First, a new episode of Second Wind's Battle Masters dropped, where they played some very fun games, including trying to travel the furthest distance in a set time in Breath of the Wild, and trying to sing Smash Mouth's All Star one word at a time. They recently changed the format of the show and I really enjoy this new version, reminds me a lot of Taskmaster! Also #ReleaseTheGalenaCut
- Second, after over 2 years of waiting, LoadingReadyRun finally released their Loading Time on moving to Moonbase MkVI! I always really love the Loading Times, which are behind-the-scenes to their usual stuff, and I am so glad we finally got one of this magnitude.
- And lastly for Monday, Skyrionn released a video about Aperture Science from the Portal games! For years he's made some very good videos on lots of games, but I've mostly just followed for his Bioshock and Valve games stuff. For the past few months he's been in an incredible streak of videos, and this is probably my favourite one yet. Also it has some incredible thumbnail art made by ChikTheArtist, who has also done his most recent thumbnails and who you should really check out.
- Later on Tuesday, xkcd released a What If? video about what would happen if you kept digging straight down. Aside from Minecraft telling me to never do that, this was the usual silly yet extremely fascinating video as all his other ones I love!
- Yesterday, Yahtzee released a new Semi Ramblomatic about Resident Evil 9's very silly story. One of my favourite videos of his was when he shared how silly RE4's plot really is, and so I really liked this video as a sort of successor to it. Plus it goes into more depth on why it's so corny and why in this particular case it didn't really work.
Video Games
I haven't gotten the chance to play many games this week, especially not any new ones, but I do plan to next week!
- On Sunday I finally publicly released a custom Portal 2 map showing a cube duplication glitch. I meant to record a video and make a post about it this week, but I had some technical issues with the recording and I got so busy that I couldn't do either, but I still find it super fun! I'll try my best to properly share it next week.
- I've mostly played Geometry Dash this week, where I've done two pretty big things. I re-beat the level Unnamed 7 by Etzer with all three coins and I uploaded a video of it on my YouTube channel! This is one of my favourite levels in terms of decoration, but since I hadn't gotten any of the coins I took the opportunity to replay the level and record it.
- Also, on Wednesday I beat Colorful OverNight by WOOGI1411 which is my 1oth insane demon! I had a lot of fun with it, even if I personally wouldn't say it's insane demon difficulty. Unfortunately since my computer hates screen recording Geometry Dash, and I had to use it since the song isn't on Newgrounds, I couldn't record a video of it. Here's a screenshot of when I beat it, though.
- During the weekend I felt like trying to "speedrun" BFDIA 5b with all the tokens. I am not a professional speedrunner of any game by any means, but I do know this game extremely well, especially due to how much I've played it recently, so I actually managed to beat it in just 47m 28s, which I am very proud of! I also didn't record it, maybe I will next time I try it, but here is a screenshot.

Other Cool Stuff
Here is where I share other cool stuff I've found on social media, though I guess I only have one thing this time.
- Just today LoadingReadyRun shared that AtomicMarshmallow illustrated a new version of their iconic JoJo-style banner! I really like how it looks, they've already changed it to their banner on YouTube and BlueSky (and hopefully the website soon, please), and I am super excited for the playmat.
And that's about it for this very good week! Since I got very busy I did take a break from writing on purpose, but I will probably be back with more interesting stuff next week! My mind has already been thinking of a lot of ideas.
Also hopefully this new format works well. It did make this a denser post than usual, but I think that's okay!
