EyeSpark Weekly – March 20, 2026
Did someone say Equinox?
It's the Spring Equinox! (Or Autumn Equinox in the southern hemisphere). More importantly though, it's Friday, which means it's time for another weekly update! It was really helpful for me the first time so I am very happy to be doing it again.
Yesterday I wrote about the 12-inch MacBook, and in the post I've mentioned I've been playing quite a few Flash games in it . Although this isn't technically a Flash game (since the original Flash version weirdly isn't playable for some reason), I did replay all of BFDIA 5b via HTML5b on the MacBook. It was quite laggy sometimes, but I still found it super fun! And I beat the whole thing, including Win Tokens, in about an hour. I wonder if I'll ever get it below an hour.

- On Saturday LoadingReadyRun released a new episode of The Panalysts, which is a series based on British panel shows where they discuss very silly hypotheticals. This is probably my favourite episode of the new season yet!
- That same day LRR would also do one of their Crapshoots! They have a series of short skits called Crapshots, and occasionally they have a livestream where they write, film, and edit one from scratch. I always love watching their process, and I found the final result to be super fun!
On Sunday, Evan Edinger released a very fun video where he raced across London against Tom Scott and Matt Gray, with Evan riding a bike, Tom taking the tube, and Matt driving a car. I love watching videos like these, both as a massive appreciator of public transit, and also since I especially like seeing videos of London now after actually being there.
- On Monday, Dropout TV released a new episode of Make Some Noise with Ben Schwartz, Lisa Gilroy, and (new guest) Colton Dunn! This was an amazing episode and probably the most chaotic one of the season so far (maybe surprisingly, or perhaps not?).

(It's a motherfucking party.)
- One of my favourite YouTube channels is Second Wind Group, who are a group of video game and film enthusiasts and critics who publish a lot of interesting stuff. I really enjoyed this week's Fully Ramblomatic by Yahtzee, and Marty Sliva's video on Pokémon Pokopia, but I especially wanted to share Darren Mooney's Backdrop episode on self-loathing sequels. I feel like it perfectly explains a phenomenon that I have noticed in the past few years but haven't fully internalized.
- Throughout the entire week I have been watching Taskmaster Series 13, and it has been a fantastic series so far. It's super nice to have the live studio audience back, the cast has amazing chemistry (though that's pretty much every cast), and I love its Day of the Dead theme. Yesterday I watched the 5th and 6th episodes of the series which definitely have been my favourite so far, and Episode 5 especially had two of my favourite tasks ever.
- Just today, Map Men released a new episode where they talked about the Darien Gap and why the Pan-American Highway was never finished. Just like all their videos it's very funny and goes into a decent amount of depth on a topic that isn't widely known!
Lastly, I want to bring up two more things that happened.
- On Wednesday I got a new tripod for my phone! Specifically it's the Mobile Tripod by Peak Design, which I knew I'd really like since they also made my favourite phone case. It works perfectly for what it's supposed to do, and I can definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a tripod this small.

- And secondly, it is the Spring Equinox today, and Jacknjellify did hint in their BFDI is Snack video a couple months back that something might happen today. By the time of writing nothing has happened yet (except them sharing a video of BFDIE's alternate endings), but who knows?
![A screenshot of BFDI Is Snack. Coiny is saying that "[something] is supposed to stay out until the Spring Equinox".](https://www.eyespark.net/content/images/2026/03/bfdiissnack-springequinox.png)
And that's it! I am very glad that I found so much cool stuff to share this week, it makes me very happy. I did keep this post in a similar format to the first one, but I am thinking of some changes I could definitely do for future ones. I'll have to experiment with that though.
